Freedom to Listen

One of the greatest gifts God has given us is our ability to listen to Him, not only once in a lifetime, but moment by moment with ever-increasing discernment and understanding. Evidence that we love God with all our heart, soul, mind and strength is that we seek His voice and His presence day after day as we journey on in our lives.

MODEL L

The story of a few who dare to set things right

A strong and healthy nation allows its citizens to freely learn about and procure health products and services that they believe will best meet their own needs as well as their family’s needs.

Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness depend on this.

Model L, a fiction novel by Robert Devereux, was completed in 2006, but due to family health difficulties was never properly released to the public. We hope you’ll find Model L both enjoyable and inspiring.

About CedarRoot.com

The ROOTS of a cedar

serve as a METAPHOR

for all that supplies us

each day of our lives

Cedars – Strong, Tall, Durable, Beautiful, Majestic

Mature cedars are strong, tall, full of endurance, beautiful and majestic. Just as a cedar begins its life not strong, not tall, not durable and not majestic, we too need time to grow, and while we grow, we need a complex supply mechanism to provide for all our needs. If well supplied, we and our families, friends and neighbors will grow a little each day. Eventually, our lives should flourish like a cedar – healthy, beautiful and having sufficient strength to meet the challenges of each day. Just as God provides adequate roots for a cedar to grow to maturity, He also provides you and I with the right resources to make us the persons He wants us to be.

Roots – Supplying, Upholding

The roots of every cedar perform two essential functions. First, they draw water and nourishment from the ground beneath to supply the cedar above. Second, as they grow they provide a very strong base that eventually is strong enough to bear the weight of a huge tree. Having such roots, cedars often prosper for hundreds and even thousands of years. In our own lives, we need substantial roots of supply to similarly sustain us, not for our own sake, but for God’s intention to be fulfilled in our lives.
